One of my last sessions in my home studio in Chatteris was Logan's newborn session. Logan has twin sisters who I photographed as newborns after meeting them when I worked in Cambridge, and it's been wonderful to watch their family grow. They came from their home in Ely to the studio in March for their session in April.
Here's Logan as a newborn...
And here he is at one!
Logan is such a funny little baby, he has a wonderful character and I think we spent a lot of time during his session just laughing!
We decided to keep his session quite simple, to focus on Logan and how he'd grown since I'd seen him before. He had lots of pictures by himself before we got some with his sisters and then the whole family together. Here are a few of my favourites:
Mum had asked for some bear bum photographs and I can see why, look at how cute and chunky he is! We had to work quick in case he decided to make the most of his nappy free time!
The first thing I said when the family arrived at the studio was how much Logan looked like his Daddy! He's the spitting image!
It's so wonderful being able to see how a family grows over the years and it's been an absolute pleasure capturing Logan's family - they're just so lovely!
I hope you've enjoyed reading about Logan's birthday and family session - I enjoyed every minute of creating it.

Little Cherubs is five this month!
It's amazing what can happen in a few short years; I started Little Cherubs as a hobby page, when my eldest was almost one. I photographed many friends and their children, and worked in hospitals taking pictures of newborn babies, and not once did I ever think I'd be doing what I am now!
I'd spent years studying photography - but I didn't know what I wanted to do with it, I was the person that smiled at babies in passing and make them cry, and had no idea how to interact with children!
Daisy (above), changed that and being thrust into the crazy world that is motherhood soon built my confidence with babies and children.
I became ill in 2014, and had to leave my job whilst i recovered and it was then that I realised that maybe Little Cherubs Photography could be a *thing*, that maybe I could make something from my love of photography - and babies!
Let me tell you something - starting a business with no idea of how to actually run a business is hard! I found a group of lovely helpful ladies (which has grown exponentially and has some of the loveliest and helpful people you'll find anywhere) and with some research and help, I not only have a business, I'm running a specialist newborn and baby photography studio.
Here are a few of my favourite images from some of my latest sessions:
Newborn and Cake Smash Photographer
My most popular sessions are newborn and cake smashes, and it's that reason that I decided to celebrate our birthday (and one year studio anniversary!) with a special discount on my Watch Me Grow milestone package, and offering a free 'sitter' session (a photo shoot once baby can sit confidently and before they start moving) with any standalone newborn photography session booking.
Watch Me Grow - for just £95, you can have a newborn session (when baby is between 7-21 days old), a sitter session at 6-9 months and then a one year portrait session to celebrate baby's first birthday - each session includes a 12x8 print and you can upgrade the last session to a cake smash for an additional £20. These sessions are not only lovely for families, they are amazing for me - I love watching families adapt and grow with their new baby!
I hope to see even more families this year!
2016 Round Up - Little Cherubs Photography - March, Cambridge & Peterborough Newborn Baby Photographer
Goodness me what a year it has been! (And I'm not just talking about the number of celebrities who have sadly left us!)
Little Cherubs Photography started the year with a move back to being home studio based (yay for no commute!) but soon the practicalities of running a home studio became impossible and the search for the perfect studio space began!
Little Cherubs Photography moved into its new home in May, and opened its doors in June. The studio has given me so much freedom to go wild, increase the prop stash (not that I needed much encouragement there!), get some product samples in (everyone adores the acrylic panel, including myself!) and I now get the joy of watching clients' faces light up as they see their images for the first time in my viewing room.
In January I attended a newborn photography workshop; I think it's important to keep training up to date, and newborn safety is not something I take lightly. I'm proud to say I am a trained newborn specialist and that your tiny delicate babies are safe in my hands.
I've continued to support charities throughout the year; namely Little Treasures Charity and Remember My Baby, and will do so through 2017, no doubt adding to my list!
I've met many brand new families as they brought their precious babies in for their newborn sessions, I've seen babies on their first birthdays as they smash the living daylights out of their birthday cake during cake smashes, families have returned for their milestone sessions, or with their latest addition. I've met some truly lovely people - my clients are the BEST!
I honestly cannot say how humbled I am that you chose me to photograph your most important moments. I really do have the best job in the world.
Here are a few faces from this years sessions, can you spot yours?
I still have one last session before the year is out, but I want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone who has either used my services or supported me in some way - without you all, this wouldn't have been possible.
I look forward to seeing old faces again and meeting new ones in 2017! I'm already planning the sessions booked in the diary so far, and can't wait to get stuck in!
Be happy & safe and I'll see you soon xx
