Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love cake smashes! Fun, mess and a lot of cake - what's not to love? As always, my cake smash photo sessions start with simple portraits, keeping the focus on just your baby, before the chaos begins. Max's session was no different, and he was such a little cutie pie! To keep Max distracted on the backdrop, we gave him the 'ONE' letter blocks and he soon got busy knocking them down and throwing them at me as I pretended to fall down with a dramatic wail (I took drama back at school, and knew it would come in handy one day!) which max thought was super funny. Max was getting bored of sitting still so out came his birthday cake! He wasn't very keen on the cake so his mummy had to stuff grapes in the back of it for him to eat! I think it's a first in the studio! He did like chewing on the wooden spoon though, it all adds to the effect ;) Max didn't just like to throw the letter blocks at me, I also had to dodge handfuls of cake as he threw them at me, it was so much fun! I caught a couple of pictures of the cake flying towards me before I had to get out of the way: I offer splash sessions at the end, as it's a perfect way to get babies clean, plus they enjoy splashing in the bubbles! Max had decided at the end of his cake smash that he had had enough, and I always follow baby's cue so when they say they're done, we're done! I think this face says it all! I hope you enjoyed reading about Max's cake smash session!
